- URL submitted for scanning — the website address you enter for a site security check online
- Email address — to deliver your scan results
- Scan results — findings, severity ratings, and remediation steps generated by our web page scanner
- IP address — for rate limiting (5 page scans per hour) and abuse prevention
- Usage analytics — anonymized via Google Analytics (pages visited, session duration)
2. How We Use Your Data
- To perform the requested website page scanner audit
- To email you the web page security check report
- To improve the accuracy of our site scan algorithms
- To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do NOT access or store any page content beyond what's publicly visible
- We do NOT execute exploits or modify target websites
- We do NOT sell, rent, or share your data with third parties
- We do NOT use your email for marketing without explicit consent
4. Cookies
AuditShield does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Google Analytics may set cookies for anonymized session measurement — you can opt out via Google's opt-out browser add-on.
5. Data Retention
Scan results are retained for 90 days to allow you to revisit reports. After 90 days, scan data is automatically purged. You may request immediate deletion by emailing us.
6. Third-Party Services
We use Google Analytics (privacy policy here) for anonymized usage analytics. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. We comply with GDPR, CCPA, and applicable privacy regulations.
